web design

Although I've been playing around in web design for 7 years or so, my work has been for most part contributing the eye candy without doing the build. In reent years I've worked at upgrading my abilites with the limited time I have. I feel pretty confident that apart from leading a project, I can pretty much hold my own on most development teams. Again, that is up to the reader to decide.

Here's two sites I built and maintain— one a small bio site for a local DJ, sort of funky I guess, and the other an information-based tourism site for traveling in South America. I'll let you guess which is which…

I've got a couple more things in development, plus this site should grow to show many more capabilities as I have time. I'm pretty good on HTML/CSS and a little beyond beginner level in Javascript. One side note: the music playing one the first home page was required by the client. Make sure the speakers aren't too loud (tried to make it as mellow as possible. We're gonna nix it on the redesign (coming soon!). Specifically, my web skillset consists of the following:

HTML/XHTML [advanced]

CSS [advanced]

Javascript [intermediate]

Flash/Actionscript [intermediate]

Ajax/SSI [beginner]

PHP [beginner]

software:

Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, GoLive, Flash, Fireworks, ImageReady

[still in doubt? i'm not averse to taking a test or something]
